Through the study of early Greek geometry one can appreciate the development of the
mathematical progress.
This presentation reports on the experiences made by the two authors when dealing with
the three classical problems that puzzled the minds of outstanding Greek geometers:
Cube duplication
• Pappus problem
• Trisection of an angle
The combined use of Maxima (Computer Algebra System) and the parametric features of GeoGebra offers the possibility
to explore classical solutions at high school student level.
